One quarter of all Slovenian wines come from the Primorska wine region. Near to the Soča Valley, you find these four winemaking regions: Goriška brda, Kras, Vipavska dolina and Koper.

The closest to the Soča Valley is the Brda wine region, which is a hilly area next to the Soča with Friulian planes winding away to the west of it. With its Mediterranean climate and location protected from the Bora (wind), this area gratefully represents an amazing base for producing world famous wines from its local cellars.
