Topli Val is Mediterranean cuisine paired with the addition of local culinary traditions. Respect for tradition, more than 30 years of experience, tried and true recipes and the use of the freshest ingredients all together enable us to provide clear and distinct flavours.
Those qualities represent the highest standards for us. At the restaurant, you will receive practically all of the best that the Adriatic Sea offers direct to your plate. Of course, we only bring to the table that which is the freshest of today and which was caught most recently by our fishermen.
The same is true of our local specialties: trout, game meat, mushroom dishes, homemade dried meats and dairy products in various combinations. We even have the well-known local dessert called Kobarid štruklji (dumplings).

In terms of seafood delicacies, we place emphasis on freshness, purity and palatability. For pasta, we are proponents of cooking it al dente. Our local culinary tradition faithfully follows old original recipes. Grandma Pepca still at times plays tricks with the preparation of Kobarid dumplings and we are convinced that ours are the best, which have been prepared in this same way since times long ago.
If you ask for a recommendation, you will not, despite the full menu, miss out on anything if you will allow yourself to be persuaded and begin with a cold starter, followed by the perfect soup, then pasta, fresh seafood or freshwater fish.
To cap it off, we would also recommend traditional Kobarid dumplings for dessert. A glass of wine from Goriška Brda, Vipava Valley or Karst will be the icing on the cake of a journey through all of the various flavours.
